TRAINEE QUANTITY SURVEYOR

I am a Trainee Quantity Surveyor based in the Sheffield office, and I am starting my second year of the 5-year degree-chartered apprenticeship.

In my role as a Trainee Quantity Surveyor, I undertake measurement and quantification tasks, prepare bills of quantities, progress cost reporting and complete onsite valuations. My role is to provide support in the cost management of a wide array of projects while aiming to develop my confidence and responsibility in the profession.

As a Trainee Quantity Surveyor, I enjoy the challenge of developing my knowledge through practical learning alongside working towards attaining my degree and professional certification. It is an increasingly significant role as my knowledge and skills progress, which keeps me motivated to achieve highly and exceed expectations at WT.

WT has helped me develop my career by providing me with the opportunity to work on a variety of projects at different stages in their lifecycle. This has given me valuable insight into the construction industry and practical experience that I can build upon as my career progresses.
