James is a highly experienced Quantity Surveyor and Employer’s Agent with over 20 years of experience delivering complex construction projects across the UK. He leads the Nottingham office at WT.
He combines strong technical and contractual expertise with excellent client-facing communication skills, enabling him to successfully manage challenging schemes and maintain strong relationships with clients and project teams. James has delivered projects across the UK, primarily in London, and more recently with a focus on the East Midlands region. Currently, James is delivering Cost Consultancy and Employer’s Agent services on several large and complex projects across multiple sectors. He provides strategic oversight while maintaining a hands-on approach to project delivery.
James has extensive experience across the full project lifecycle, from early-stage feasibility and procurement through to construction delivery and project completion. He has worked on a wide range of schemes of varying scale and complexity across the residential, commercial, logistics and industrial sectors for both public and private sector clients. Clients and colleagues value his strong commercial awareness, professional approach, and his ability to resolve complex issues through collaborative and pragmatic problem-solving.
When appointed on a project, James takes time to fully understand the client’s brief, objectives and key challenges. He works closely with clients and design teams to interrogate proposals, challenge processes where appropriate, and identify opportunities to add value throughout the project lifecycle. Acting as a key point of contact for the client and consultant team, he provides clear leadership to ensure that projects are delivered in line with the client’s commercial, programme and quality objectives.
James is WT’s strategic lead for the residential sector and also supports the wider business in the logistics and industrial sectors
