WT acting as P22 Cost Advisor on a new state of the art Oncology Centre is the latest addition to the Royal United Hospital’s Estate.
The P22 Cancer Centre is a new 7,000m2 development constructed behind the existing hospital. The new department will service the wider South Western area and will comprise:
- Outpatient Clinic rooms and waiting areas
- Day care unit
- Chemotherapy suite
- Inpatient Ward accommodation including single rooms
- Support services including Medical Physics and Pharmacy
- Research and Education
- Patient support and Information facilities
The RUH provides cancer services to over 500,000 people in the South West and is one of the largest cancer centres. This purpose-built facility also houses a Macmillan Wellbeing Hub – a non-clinical, calming space where patients, families and carers can receive practical and emotional support.
