WT were appointed for multi-disciplinary services, to support St Margaret’s School in undertaking a major refurbishment and redevelopment of the school.
The scheme entailed selling a portion of land for development. This was a key challenge to the project because planning permission affected the developer’s ability to fund the school’s major building programme.
Additionally, the programme of works had to be carefully managed around the academic school years, holidays, exams etc. The major redevelopment included works to the lower school building and playgrounds, as well as refurbishment of the kitchen diner, music technical block and creation of new car parking facilities and road access through the school.
