WT provided Cost Management (RIBA Stages 0-7), NEC Project Management (RIBA Stages 2-7) and Principal Designer services (RIBA Stages 0-7) for the Wye Valley Diagnostic Centre, a purpose-built healthcare facility designed to significantly expand diagnostic capacity and improve patient outcomes across the region.

Delivered through the P23 framework under an NEC4 Option C (Target Cost) contract, the two-storey standalone development represents a major investment in modern healthcare infrastructure. The ground floor accommodates enhanced X-Ray, CT, MRI and Phlebotomy services, whilst the first floor provides additional capacity for Cardiography, Ultrasound, Respiratory and Spirometry services, helping to reduce waiting times and improve access to essential diagnostic care.

Constructed using a Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs) system, the facility benefits from excellent thermal performance, sustainable construction principles and a rapid on-site assembly programme. Close collaboration with specialist equipment providers, including Philips and Canon, ensured the seamless integration of advanced diagnostic technologies within a highly efficient clinical environment.

Alongside its enhanced diagnostic capabilities, the centre provides modern working, collaboration and welfare spaces for healthcare professionals, creating a state-of-the-art facility that supports both patients and staff while helping to meet growing healthcare demands across the Trust.
