A new state of the art Emergency Department and Acute Medical Unit at Walsall Manor Hospital.

The new development incorporates a new emergency department with “front door” access to a new Urgent Treatment Centre and Paediatric Assessment Unit. The first floor also accommodates a new Acute Medical Unit along with a Medical Ambulatory Emergency Care Unit, within the refurbished existing Emergency Department footprint.

The P22 scheme is a new 6,000m2 development constructed adjacent the existing Emergency Department.

The project entails complex logistics including forming two temporary car parks; sitewide HV and medical gas infrastructure upgrades; multi-phased enabling works programme due to complexities of maintaining blue light access; works associated with mineshafts.
