WT are delighted to join Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in celebrating the full completion of their new multi-storey car park.

Following from the original surface car park phase of 140 spaces in 2021, where the foundations were laid for the multi-storey in anticipation, this second phase construction of the multi-level car park now provides almost 500 new spaces specifically for staff parking. It significantly eases pressure on the main public car park and looking forward, it is also an enabler for the hospital’s future expansion. Complete with accessible and EV charging spaces this is a showcase for Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) with its simple system build frame, deck and wall panels.

The system build was delivered smoothly, with any challenges with the project overcome by our client and the WT Sheffield team, Richard Wibberley, Steven Pinder (MRICS), Mohammed Ismail and James Burbeary providing Project Management and Quantity Surveying services to the Trust. The project successfully addressed key requirements including Part M compliance, drainage, power supply agreements and planning considerations. We are delighted to see that the car park is now operational and benefiting the Trust.

WT worked alongside a great team with Galliford Try, the main contractor, the system build specialist designer, Sysdex and the constructor, Horton & Armitage Ltd.
