Project Description

Client:
Queen Mary University of London

An award-winning refurbishment of a high profile 1930s art deco building in Stepney Green to form 5,000 sq.m. of office space to relocate the QMUL, Estates and Facilities department.

The office space was created over 4 floors and was procured as a Design & Build scheme.

The site provides the ideal environment for collaboration. Every meeting room is fitted with facilities to host blended meetings, where attendees are both physically present and remote, so that distance is no barrier to colleagues easily working together. The open-plan office space is built for hot-desking with ample collaborative working spaces and dedicated quiet spaces for calls and face-to-face meetings.

The works comprised extensive M&E services to suit a modern office environment whilst being sympathetic and retaining where possible the architectural features of the existing building. The works also included the creation of a café for both client and public use.

IASTI will utilise and create facilities that reflect the required industry, education, training and regulatory requirements to deliver suitably skilled and qualified individuals ready for employment.
